being the procrastinator that i am, i finally got around to photographing my new ring! unfortunately, photos do not do it justice, even when i concentrate real hard on the right lighting and position. oh well. imagine this sparkle times 100.

I didn’t think I would be asking for anything for Christmas, since I did just get almost 2 karats of bling on my left hand! But I just NEED this, don’t you think?
Every photographer needs an easy-to-switch-lenses-bag, right? Right, right? Come on, help me out with the validation, ya’ll!
Saw this today, and it’s tempting me as well:
Yummy!! Who knew photography could be so fashionable?
Here’s to girly cuteness! Cheers!
I finally had a chance to go to Memphis’ only, new JoAnn store for some fabric and a look-see. I found a wonderful black and white damask that was just what I was looking for. I taped it to the sunniest wall in my house and asked for volunteers. Jessie and Alex were the only ones willing to get in front of the camera… this time. I plan to use a higher level of bribery next time to get all 4 of them (maybe for Christmas pictures)!
These are the good ones from the session:

Here’s to a lazy Sunday! Cheers!
We had the chance to take a long weekend in the Smoky Mountains when the leaves were on the trees (we usually go in early spring when the trees are bare), so we jumped at it! It was a wonderful relaxing vacation and some really goood family time. Oh, and the views were good too

Jessie and Alex on an early morning walk

From the top of Clingmans Dome (the highest peak in the Smokies)

The clouds covered Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but there was sun above them.

Some wonderful late afternoon backlighting

Glowing sun and beautiful girls

The only time we saw sun was when we were above the clouds!
