I immediately knew that Michael is going to make an awesome husband. He’s so relaxed, happy, and most of all, “whatever you want, dear.” They’re set. They look and act like they’ve always been together, and the world is right when they are. They laugh, laugh, and laugh some more, and balance each other perfectly. Oh, and did I mention that they are a beautiful couple? Just take a look…

I was thrilled when Marianne said she wanted their engagement photos downtown on Mud Island. Lots of my favorites – doorways, bricks, and architecture. I love this one of the Memphis pyramid in the background.

You can even catch a glimpse of it in this one. And check out Marianne. Rawr.

This cup of coffee went everywhere with us. It got put down before every photo, and picked right back up after. I don’t drink coffee, so I can’t commiserate, but to each their own!

I loved how natural they were in front of the lens:

This is one of my favorite shots. I could not pass up this little chair. Look! A heart :)

A change of clothes, then down to the river. Marianne, you are gorgeous.

My favorite shot of the day. Sigh…

Thank you, Michael and Marianne, for letting me be a part of this beautiful day! I can’t wait for the wedding! Cheers!

Enri and Candace are getting married in October. Unfortunately, Candace is in Chicago while Enri remains here in Memphis. While they can’t always be together right now, they look forward to a time when they will be with each other always.

I did a little 20 minute mini shoot with Enri to capture a few shots of him to send to Candace. It was a short shoot, but we managed to get several good ones because Enri is such a photogenic guy!

Seriously dapper dude. Seriously.

A quick change of clothes and outdoors we go. Enri, blue is your color!

My favorite of the day. Enri walks up to me and says, “Candace doesn’t like the shades, but I do.” I took one look and said, “oh, we are SO doing the shades!” Love it.

Enri, thank you so much for giving me the time to capture these. Candace, thanks so much for lending me your very handsome finace for a morning! Cheers!

My hometown of Cleveland, MS is a small college town, and everyone knows everyone. There may not be a mall, a Target (gasp!), or lots of chain restaurants, but you can bet you can find groups gathered around bonfires on weekend evenings. We could always find something to do.

Sherri and Nate are getting married there in June, and I was honored to go back to Cleveland to capture their love. Sherri is the most joyous, laughable person you could meet, with eyes to die for. Nate is so easy going and adores her. It is written all over his face.

We started downtown, comprised of two strips of locally owned shops lining the old railroad tracks that run through the center of town.

I think we walked from end to end to make sure we found each and every good spot.

Like this old hardware store:

And this alleyway:

Sherri and Nate are a very happy couple, and they laughed and smiled the entire time. I love that!

Another thing I love – this old train station remodeled into a small museum:

We walked the alley behind the shops and Nate was nice enough to entertain us with a few riffs on the guitar.

We then made our way to Cleveland High School, where they (and yours truly!) attended before college. These metal picnic tables were adorned in the school colors, gold and black. Go Wildcats!

There’s no way I’m passing up a school bus!

And my favorite shot of the day:

Thank you, Sherri and Nathan, for allowing me to capture your engagement. You are truly a delight to be around. I can’t wait for the wedding! Cheers!
