Hi y’all!

Welcome to Our Blog

We are a husband-wife photography team living in the South,
offering wedding, senior and lifestyle collections.

We have such a fun urban engagement session to share today! We didn't get the chance to meet Derek before getting him in front of our camera, but we weren't worried a bit. Jennifer had already told us that they were both extremely photogenic, and she wasn't kidding! These two thrive in front of the camera, and it was such a treat to photograph them. As you will see, they both have the perfect amount of sass, romance, and style!

Ed and I have been looking for an excuse to go to Old Dominick Distillery, so we were thrilled when Elizabeth and Sam wanted to do their engagement photos there! I mean, obviously, Ed and I are always on board for anywhere that may have a good cocktail hour, but I was so excited to find that their rooftop is filled with succulents!! If you follow me on Instagram, you may already know that I am obsessed with succulents! The whole space is such a cool venue, and we're so glad we got to share our first time there with these two lovebirds!

This chilly downtown Memphis winter engagement may have been the coldest one we did all year! Susan and Brad were are rockstars! Not only did they tolerate the cold temperatures while smiling for the camera, they did it without complaining once! We were able to get the last of the Fall leaves in a few of the photos, then finished up with the holiday lights along Main Street. Ed and I loved every minute we spent with them! These two are the sweetest people, and we already know how lucky we are to have them in our lives.

An early winter engagement session is always a favorite for us, especially when we get to work with a couple as awesome as Missy and Will! Winter in the South means that the leaves stay on the trees a little longer, and the colder temperatures don't kick in right away. We got the perfect day for this session! It was a little chilly, but nothing a warm sweater and scarf couldn't handle. A sudden strong breeze meant we got some awesome shots in a whirlwind of ginkgo leaves!

With our new website makeover, I'm a little behind on blogging. I'm starting to catch up, and today's post is a great way to dress up the new blog! This Davies Plantation wedding was back in the Fall, when it was still hot outside. It's so hard to remember the heat when there is snow outside right now. I feel like I'll never be warm again! But Caitie and Robert were amazing and completed rocked their portraits, despite the temperatures. We're so excited to share these with you!

Of all the different kinds of weddings we shoot, the ones at private residences are always a favorite! It's one sure way to have a wedding like no one else's. Marisa and Paul are a couple like no one else, and they would have had a unique wedding no matter where it took place, but their venue choice only added to their originality! They celebrated their love at Paul's grandfather's gorgeous farm in Mississippi. It was the perfect place for their union, and offered them the opportunity to really showcase who they are as a couple. We absolutely love them both, and unsurprisingly, we loved every detail of their wedding. We are so thrilled to share it with you today!

I can't believe it's been over a year since I first talked with Jessica. She and Tim don't have wedding photos that they love, so they decided to document their next adventure instead - their new home! She was so excited about the idea of this session that she emailed me even before their house was fully framed out! A year later, we were so thrilled to finally meet them in person. This session was a long time coming, and we can't wait to share their story!

We love when a wedding day is all about the marriage. Not the flowers, the food, or the big party at the end. But the opening page of a love story, one that will last a lifetime. This wedding was one of those. When Erica turned a tearful face to Travis and promised to be as patient, kind, and loving as he has been to her, we knew she meant every word. And when he vowed to keep her safe, to support her, and to always love her, there was no doubt that he spoke the truth. This day was only a formality, because they had already devoted their hearts to each other long ago. They understood that the party at the end was really only the beginning, and that made it so much more than a celebration!
