When a bride and groom choose to take us out of the state with them for their wedding, that means a lot to us. When they choose to treat us like family, include us in pre-wedding festivities, and text us sweet messages when we arrive, that means even more! Laura and Joseph were the couple of honor for their Santa Rosa Beach wedding weekend, and yet, they made sure to be a host to everyone, even us. There’s no one else we would have rather spent a weekend at the beach with!
We are so excited to share this special wedding today! This was definitely one that we have been looking forward to for quite some time. We were so lucky to learn more about Natalie and Adam and the special love they share. We were so lucky to be the ones to photograph their beautiful day! But most of all, we are so lucky to have Natalie as a dance instructor, competition director, and mentor for our children. We have loved growing up in the Dance Dynamics family, and Natalie is one of the reasons that our kids have developed into the talented dancers that they are today!
Danielle and Will planned their wedding so that they could be married only a few short weeks after suffering through the Bar Exam. We all joked that if they could endure that test of will together, then marriage would be a breeze! In all seriousness, though, these two have nothing to worry about. Their hearts are already so giving, and their arms already so open, that taking this next step is just the natural course of their adventure together.
The first time we ever met Samantha and Slay, we knew we had to shoot their wedding. Yes, they are amazingly good looking. I mean, just scroll down a little. Did you see her??? It’s completely unfair that one person can have that many good genes! But that’s not the reason. Not even close. We always care way more about what’s on the inside than what’s on the outside. And their outsides have nothing on what’s inside! They both have amazing hearts that were built to serve others. They are some of the most caring, selfless people we’ve ever met, and we love them for that!
I think it’s safe to say that until this day, we had never met a groom that was this excited to marry his bride! He beamed. He laughed. And yes, he cried. He cried big, unabashed, joyful tears that he was not ashamed to have streaming down his face. When he first turned around and got his first glimpse of her, he broke down, sobbed into her shoulder, and then looked at her and said, “you are just as beautiful as I knew you would be.” She stroked his face and hugged him hard. Together, they held each other and promised to love each other forever, before the vows were even said. They set the tone for their colorful day – a day full of love, promises, faith, and beauty. Insane beauty! Wendy made the loveliest bride, and David’s devotion to her was just as delightful to witness. What a way to start our 2016 wedding season!
It’s a big day on the blog today! We’re sharing all our favorite 2015 wedding images! Be warned, though, this is a looooong post! There are nearly 100 photos that we’ve chosen as best of the best. Read on to see a whole year of images all wrapped up nice and pretty!
I can’t think of a better way to start off a Thursday. I have been SO excited to share this Miami yacht wedding! Essence and Jamal were amazing clients, but more than that, they turned out to be such good friends! Ed and I could hang out with them all the time, and while we were in Miami, that’s exactly what we did!
We recently spent an amazing four days in Miami with an awesome couple. One thing we love about destination weddings (other than traveling to new locations!) is getting to spend a little extra time with the bride and groom. We always include rehearsal coverage for our destination weddings. We’re already there, and we figure the more photos the better!
I can’t WAIT to share this wedding! It was a photographer’s dream! Not only were the details on point (can you say blush wedding gown, gorgeous flowers, and traditional Norwegian wedding cake???), but Andrea was the perfect, beautiful bride. Photos were very important to her, and she made sure that we got all the time we needed to create some beautiful art! Oxford is such a cute little town, and the perfect spot for this Fall Plein Air wedding!
Traveling for weddings always brings new challenges and adventures. We not only have to pack and carry all our equipment, but we need to remember to bring wedding clothes, travel clothes, and toiletries, especially my hair brush. I don’t know if ya’ll have seen my hair lately, but it’s getting pretty long. I definitely am always in need of a brush! Until I don’t have one.
