She had watched his dog once, before they even met. She was keeping a friend company one evening, while the friend was dog sitting. She got a tour of this then-stranger's apartment. Even saw where he slept. So that later, when they finally bumped into each other, she could say "I've seen your bedroom!," and it wasn't even creepy.
We sat with them over drinks one casual evening, learning a little more about each other and sharing lots of laughs. Bailey and Will booked us without ever meeting us first, so we wanted to get to know them a bit before we got them in front of our cameras. We spent very little time talking "business" and spent lots of time talking "life," and we loved them right away for that! By the time we all met again for their Tennessee farm engagement session, we were old friends! Which, as you will see, made for plenty of awesome photos! Keep a lookout for a couple of cow cameos!
We have such a FUN midtown Memphis engagement session to share today! We literally spent the entire time with these two laughing our heads off. And I don't use the word "literally" lightly! I'm pretty sure we spent more time chatting and laughing than actually taking pictures! We started laughing 5 minutes into their session, and didn't stop till the end. I could hang out with Rachel every day. I just love her! She's a no-nonsense, independent, outgoing beauty. And Justin is the quiet calm in the storm that she needs. Keep scrolling for proof of all the laughing!
We have such a special, stylish urban engagement session to share with you today! We had so much fun getting to know these two better. They absolutely KILLED their photos! Usually, the photos we take near the end of an engagement session are better than the ones at the beginning, because the couple is more relaxed. But these two were pros right from the start! It was so hard to choose favorites, so get ready for a loooong post...
We are sharing the dreamiest Annesdale Mansion engagement session today! Anahi and Eduardo turned up the heat and made my little photographer heart so happy. We definitely brought out Anahi's inner model. Yowzers. We also learned very quickly that I had to call Eduardo by his full name. Calling him "Ed" was just too confusing! But I think Eduardo fits him better, anyway. It's a very debonaire name! This session had everything - perfect weather, an abundance of style, and romance to spare!
We have such a fun urban engagement session to share today! We didn't get the chance to meet Derek before getting him in front of our camera, but we weren't worried a bit. Jennifer had already told us that they were both extremely photogenic, and she wasn't kidding! These two thrive in front of the camera, and it was such a treat to photograph them. As you will see, they both have the perfect amount of sass, romance, and style!
Ed and I have been looking for an excuse to go to Old Dominick Distillery, so we were thrilled when Elizabeth and Sam wanted to do their engagement photos there! I mean, obviously, Ed and I are always on board for anywhere that may have a good cocktail hour, but I was so excited to find that their rooftop is filled with succulents!! If you follow me on Instagram, you may already know that I am obsessed with succulents! The whole space is such a cool venue, and we're so glad we got to share our first time there with these two lovebirds!
This chilly downtown Memphis winter engagement may have been the coldest one we did all year! Susan and Brad were are rockstars! Not only did they tolerate the cold temperatures while smiling for the camera, they did it without complaining once! We were able to get the last of the Fall leaves in a few of the photos, then finished up with the holiday lights along Main Street. Ed and I loved every minute we spent with them! These two are the sweetest people, and we already know how lucky we are to have them in our lives.
An early winter engagement session is always a favorite for us, especially when we get to work with a couple as awesome as Missy and Will! Winter in the South means that the leaves stay on the trees a little longer, and the colder temperatures don't kick in right away. We got the perfect day for this session! It was a little chilly, but nothing a warm sweater and scarf couldn't handle. A sudden strong breeze meant we got some awesome shots in a whirlwind of ginkgo leaves!
I can't believe it's been over a year since I first talked with Jessica. She and Tim don't have wedding photos that they love, so they decided to document their next adventure instead - their new home! She was so excited about the idea of this session that she emailed me even before their house was fully framed out! A year later, we were so thrilled to finally meet them in person. This session was a long time coming, and we can't wait to share their story!
