They were married a little over a year ago, in an intimate ceremony. Just the two of them, and a friend to snap some photos afterward. But later, they knew that they wanted to celebrate properly, with their closest friends and family. Lauren and Brad now live in Charleston, but their families are here in Memphis. So they planned a Memphis reception, complete with dancing, cake cutting, toasting, and photos, so that they could be congratulated by their families who wanted to welcome them into their marriage. Now, with a baby boy on the way, they will soon have their own little family to welcome into the world.
Lauren and Brad spent the evening among those they love most, chatting, dancing, and of course, laughing. One night of fun and celebration for a lifetime of love and happiness.
Ed and I met Lauren and Brad a little earlier in the day for some wedding portraits, since they didn’t have any. We couldn’t have asked for prettier weather on this New Year’s Eve Eve.
Lauren wore a necklace and bracelet that she borrowed from her mom. This set belonged to her mom’s grandmother, and the vintage jewelry complimented Lauren beautifully!
My favorite photo, hands down. In fact, one of my favorite photos ever.
Lauren, you are gorgeous, inside and out, and you make a beautiful bride!
And Brad, I have to say. The beard suits you!
Brad is one of those people who can have fun, no matter where he is. He kept us laughing all day! Photo on the right is Ed’s.
I just love the tenderness in this one.
Lauren and Brad held their reception at Club Windward, and had soft, natural beach touches.
Now here’s an idea I love! Brides, take note. Lauren and Brad had a s’mores bar. It was awesome, and all the guests, old and young, absolutely loved it!
The First Dance…
Ed’s view of the grand exit was better than mine!
Lauren and Brad, thank you for letting us spend an evening with you. Everything was perfect, and it was a true reflection of who you are together. I wish you many long years of happiness, and hopefully not too many sleepless nights!
