19 Jul Greers Ferry Arkansas Lake Senior Session
I never thought a teenage girl, standing at the edge of Greers Ferry Lake with her thumbs hooked in her pockets, would be the one teaching me all about “flex.” And I’m not talking about showing off your muscles. I’m talking about the angle of tilt that your off-road vehicle makes when it’s climbing over large rocks. I’m sure there’s a lot more technical words that go along with that, but basically, the more it looks like it’s going to fall over, the better! Keep scrolling to see exactly what I’m talking about.
Who remembers Maggi and Aaron’s fun Woodruff-Fontaine wedding reception? We had a blast capturing their celebration party last year! Well, this year, they will have a Senior in high school. When Maggi contacted me about doing her Senior portraits, I was thrilled. When she told me that they wanted to do them at their lake house at Greer’s Ferry in Arkansas, I was ecstatic!
Maggi and her new family are so super sweet and let Ed and I stay overnight the day before the session. We had never been to Greers Ferry before, but this will not be our last trip! We fell in love with the abundant nature, the crystal blue water, and the vivid sunsets! It was the perfect place for such a unique Senior portrait session!
Greer’s Ferry Arkansas Lake Senior Session
Although Haley looks like she could easily be a professional model, she’s not a girly-girl. She prefers swimming in lake water to sunning by the pool. She would rather wear sneakers than heels, and she loves her Jeep. We wanted to capture her adventurous spirit, along with her gorgeous, long blonde hair, in her Senior photos. Greer’s Ferry provided the perfect backdrop to show off her beauty and style!
To start off her session, Haley drove us all down an old, crumbling boat ramp to show us exactly what she was capable of behind the wheel. She had no reservations at all about seeing how much “flex” we could get in her photos! I definitely have the coolest Seniors!
I wasn’t sure how we were going to beat that, but then we did a bit of hiking (Haley wearing Louboutins, no less) to the top of the rocks, with the lake in the distance. To end things off, we climbed down to the rocks at the foot of the property for sunset. Haley didn’t think twice about jumping into the lake, clothes, makeup, and all, for some final, epic photos!
Haley, you. were. awesome! We loved getting to know the confident, independent young woman you are. There is no doubt that your future will be bright and full of adventure! I can’t wait to see where you go from here. Enjoy this little sneak peek of the time we got to spend with you!
