08 Mar Memphis Senior Guy Sunset Portrait Session
Okay, truth time. A Senior guy is not as comfortable in front of the camera as girls are. They don’t usually spend as much time taking selfies (unless their girlfriends make them!). So they’re just not as used to the lens as the girls. Until now. Now we have to say a typical Senior guy is not as comfortable in front of the camera as girls are! Cody is not a typical Senior guy. Cody was amazing during his session! He was relaxed, joked around with us, and even gave us a few creative ideas. We’re so excited to share a few snippets from his Senior session today!

Cody is the son of a good friend of ours. Our oldest daughter actually used to babysit him and his sister during the summers! I can’t believe he’s all grown up now. No more babysitters for him! He will be graduating later this year, so we were thrilled to get him in front of our cameras!
We love winter sessions for guys! It’s a more architectural, masculine season. It’s all about them and the light. We really get to use nature in a different way. We got a gorgeous winter day for Cody’s session. I love the way his blue outfit stands out against the background, accented by the yellow sun. We found a great spot with some trees and a gravel path next to a lake, perfect for Cody’s laid back personality.
Cody passes by an open field every morning where he watches the sun come up on his way to school. He knew he wanted some photos of him and his car in that field. Cody really loves his Mustang, so we wanted to make sure to include it in some photos. He was getting ready for prom that weekend, so he just happened to already have his tux. A dapper guy in a field at sunset with his sports car? Total James Bond.
Cody, we loved hanging out with you and capturing this special year in your life! You’ve become such an awesome young man, and we’re so glad we got to know you. We know you (and your car!) have many more adventures ahead of you! Good luck in college!
