We had been looking forward to this wedding for a long time! Ever since we photographed their surprise proposal in Memphis, we were so excited for the moment when these two would officially seal the deal. We knew they both had style, but even we were unprepared for the amount of awesomeness that filled this day. We traveled to a little town in Georgia, where we were thrilled to discover one of the most beautiful wedding venues ever! Tryphena’s Garden is like a little Italian villa, Georgia style, filled with gorgeous plantings, hidden paths, and formal lawns. It is the perfect place for a wedding, and a photographer’s dream!
I knew Maggi and Aaron were our kind of couple when she told me that they were more “silly” than “romantic.” I love fun, laughing photos, and these two are the perfect playful couple! But as it turns out, they can do romantic pretty darn good, too.
Our 2017 wedding season has officially begun! We kicked off the year with an amazing couple. Sabrina and Gary are a classic duo, with style all in the right places (wait until you see her shoes!). My favorite thing about them is their romance. Gary can’t go 5 minutes without kissing her, and Sabrina has a shy smile that she saves for only him. I think you’ll notice as you scroll through these photos how easily they are themselves in front of the camera, and I love that!
Danielle and Will planned their wedding so that they could be married only a few short weeks after suffering through the Bar Exam. We all joked that if they could endure that test of will together, then marriage would be a breeze! In all seriousness, though, these two have nothing to worry about. Their hearts are already so giving, and their arms already so open, that taking this next step is just the natural course of their adventure together.
He bounced on the balls of his feet while he waited to see her. His eyes sparkled with excitement and, already knowing the answer, I asked if he was ready for his wedding day. “SO ready!” he replied with a huge grin. We could feel the anticipation pouring off him in waves. He didn’t have any of the usual groom nerves, and cold feet were certainly not in the equation. This man was simply ready to be married to the love of his life! George loves Taylor with a fierceness we rarely see. It was obvious to everyone who shared the day with them that Taylor makes George insanely happy, and she would do anything to make him happy.
They don’t do serious. They don’t do sadness or tears (except happy ones!). They don’t do drama, or too much, or too little. They never stop talking. They never stop laughing. And these are only a FEW of the reasons we love Erin and Donny so much! Their officiant described them best during their wedding ceremony when he said, “Not only do Erin and Donny LOVE each other, but they sure do LIKE each other a lot! And they like doing life together.” Yes. That.
There are some couples that, every once in awhile, come along and make us realize how lucky we are to know them. That make us better. That care more about others than anything else. That, even on their own wedding day, on a day that’s supposed to be all about them, somehow make it about everyone else. Michelle and Joe are that kind of couple.
We knew we loved Bethany and Zac the minute we met them! Bethany has style in abundance, and a sense of humor that keeps everyone laughing all day. Her smile lights up the room, and she is the most loyal friend. Her determination is enviable. Zac is tender and quiet where Bethany is outgoing and boisterous, in all the best ways. He is extremely heartfelt and generous, and just recently raised over $200,000 for the Boys and Girls Club. Yet Zac is fun-loving, while always taking charge when needed. Together, they make a mirthful, organized team. In short, they have everything they need, and they compliment each other perfectly!
Cheryl is the kind of girl who does things herself. She owns her own business. She adores cooking, enjoys the challenge of learning a new, complicated dish. If she doesn’t know how to do something, she figures it out. And she’s not afraid to open a bottle of champagne by herself, at her own wedding. She’s independent. She doesn’t need anyone else to take care of her. Continue Reading…
