It was Christmas Day, after the morning madness of excitement, gift giving, and the chaos that comes afterward. It was my favorite part of Christmas, the calm after the storm, when the energy level dips and everyone settles into a comfortable happiness. I enjoy most just reveling in the joy that is this day, and in the togetherness of having everyone home.

After spending so much time apart, Kimel and Greg were beyond ready to get married! Greg was stationed away from home during his career with the U.S. Army for much of their relationship, so he and Kimel were not only loving long-distance, but communication was limited. Kimel had also moved far away from her Memphis home, so she was also separated from her family. To say that they were both ready for a fun, wedding reunion with all their loved ones was an understatement!

Well, it's the Monday after Christmas, so that means back to work for me. But around here, that doesn't mean that the Christmas decorations come down and the Christmas spirit grinds to a halt. We keep it going for as long as possible! We had such a wonderful holiday, with a house full of love and family. We had lots of laughs, a billion hugs, and even a few happy tears. I wouldn't change a thing.

Kristin and Tyree have known each other for years. The only problem was that while he was here in Memphis, she lived in Minnesota. They would chat online and talk on the phone frequently, but when the time came that they knew they wanted to date, the distance became wider. So, for their first official date, they decided to meet halfway in St. Louis.

Christmas is a big deal in our house. Yes, we have 4 kids, and I wish I could blame it on them, but the simple truth is that I LOVE CHRISTMAS! It's the only good thing about a cold winter. So we go all out. And by all out, I mean that every room is decorated, and it takes us weeks to get all our trees up. This year, we have 8. And we decided to leave one in the box! No shame!
