If we're friends (and I hope we are!), you already know that cocktail hour is a big deal for us. For Ed and me, happy hour is more than just drinks. It's a state of mind. It's almost always a daily Mon-Fri thing, so it's inherently tied to the work day. But it represents the end of the work day. It's a time to gather with friends and revel in relaxation, if only for an hour. It means that we survived another daily grind, and now it's time to let go of the stress, shake it off, and prepare ourselves to kick butt yet again tomorrow. We believe that everyone deserves an hour a day to rest and unwind.

Today is a very special day on the blog! We always consider ourselves lucky to get to do what we do, but when we get to photograph friends, it's an extra blessing! Most of Memphis may know Natalie as a top finalist on So You Think You Can Dance or as a cast member of Wickedbut to us, she is "Miss Natalie," the one person who probably spends almost as much time with our kids as we do! Natalie is the competition director at our dance studio, and she is the one in charge of making our kids (and tons of others!) into the great dancers that they are turning out to be! We couldn't be more grateful for her, so when we heard she was getting married, we were first in line to "audition" for the role of photographer! All cheesy puns aside, we are thrilled to be able to document this time in her life, and we can't wait for the wedding!
