Carmen and Grantley are not afraid to celebrate the way they know best! They wanted a small but short ceremony on the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River. Time to enjoy their closest friends and family present was a priority. They wanted to attend their own cocktail hour. Photos were a priority (love that!), and they wanted plenty of time for them. And most of all, they wanted to be married!

We want every engagement session (and wedding!) we do to be as unique as possible. To do that, we always tailor our sessions around our couples, including things like their favorite colors, their favorite places to go, and their favorite activities to do together. Basically, the things that make up their LIFE together. In this case, Robyn and Nick currently live in Nashville, so their life is there. Nashville is an easy drive for us, so it was a no-brainer that we would go to them for this session. We have been looking forward to this engagement session ever since we first met with Robyn and Nick, and it was everything we dreamed, and more!

Things in our lives are never spaced out. They happen all at once, all the time. I've grown used to it, and I'm completely okay with the patterns of our busy family. So it came as no surprise that our biggest dance competition of the year also fell on PROM weekend!

We love it when our brides choose to have a bridal session! It's a photo session just for them, and a chance to get all dressed up and wear that wedding gown again. It's also a great way to test drive the hair and makeup styles you are planning for your wedding day. Wedding days fly by so fast, that we often don't have time for all the creative photos that we would like, and the bridal session is a great way around that!

Weddings are awesome. Seriously. Who doesn't love a day filled with beautiful flowers, a gorgeous dress, meaningful ceremonies, and a big party? But I love it even more when we get a couple who remembers what a wedding is truly all about. A celebration of Love. With a capital L. Emotion. A new life together. Ellen and Bobby kept their day about all the important things and never forgot why they were celebrating. It was a day filled with lots of happy tears, tender snuggles, and lots and lots of love! It was awesome.

She gets more gorgeous every day. She is growing into an amazing woman. She dances 5 times a week, studies hard for straight A's, gets involved in every school activity imaginable, and still makes time for friends and family. She makes good choices. She is my...

My girl is an official high schooler. Yesterday morning, she graduated from 8th grade during a simple ceremony followed by lunch with her family and friends. Later that evening, she was off to her first formal dance. With a boy. Like a for-real teenage girl. Now, I'm...
