We love when a wedding day is all about the marriage. Not the flowers, the food, or the big party at the end. But the opening page of a love story, one that will last a lifetime. This wedding was one of those. When Erica turned a tearful face to Travis and promised to be as patient, kind, and loving as he has been to her, we knew she meant every word. And when he vowed to keep her safe, to support her, and to always love her, there was no doubt that he spoke the truth. This day was only a formality, because they had already devoted their hearts to each other long ago. They understood that the party at the end was really only the beginning, and that made it so much more than a celebration!

There's always a point in the wedding day when I know for sure that a couple is meant to be together. It may be something special the officiant says during the ceremony, a telling story during toasts, or even a quiet giggle or look that the couple shares when they think they're alone. Laura and Chad's day was full of little moments like these, but the one that really stuck with me happened when Laura was opening her gift from Chad. She pulled out a gorgeous necklace that he had chosen for her, and with glistening eyes, said, "he knows my style even better than I do!" It was a little thing, perhaps, but that simple gift said, without words, how much he knows and understands her.

We had been looking forward to this wedding for a long time! Ever since we photographed their surprise proposal in Memphis, we were so excited for the moment when these two would officially seal the deal. We knew they both had style, but even we were unprepared for the amount of awesomeness that filled this day. We traveled to a little town in Georgia, where we were thrilled to discover one of the most beautiful wedding venues ever! Tryphena's Garden is like a little Italian villa, Georgia style, filled with gorgeous plantings, hidden paths, and formal lawns. It is the perfect place for a wedding, and a photographer's dream!

We are officially done with weddings for 2016! We will still be busy the next few months with lots happening behind the scenes and time spent on re-energizing for next year, but we are tickled pink to end this year's wedding season with a bang! We have been on pins and needles for this wedding, this celebration, this couple, ever since their Nashville engagement session! And once you see our recap of their day, we know you'll understand why!

We love Mary and Stuart so much - mostly because they are so much like us! They prefer laughs and goofiness over serious, they are not afraid of color, and their love story starts with cocktail hour (and lots of rum)! They live in Florida now, and we are quite jealous. It is our lifelong goal to one day be closer to the water. But mostly, we miss the heck out of them. We know they are headed for wonderful things, but it's hard not seeing their smiling faces on a regular basis. That's one of the reasons we are so thrilled to see their wedding featured on Westchester Wedding Planner!

"All in." That's what I always remember when I think about Erica. It has been over a YEAR since we first met with her and her lovely mom. That first time we spoke, sipping coffee, we all just hit it off perfectly. The more we talked about her wedding plans, the more excited we all got! At the end of the meeting, Erica turned to her mom and said, "What do you think?" Her mom gazed back at her and said, "Let's do it! I'm all in." And I fell in love with them both.

The first time we ever met Samantha and Slay, we knew we had to shoot their wedding. Yes, they are amazingly good looking. I mean, just scroll down a little. Did you see her??? It's completely unfair that one person can have that many good genes! But that's not the reason. Not even close. We always care way more about what's on the inside than what's on the outside. And their outsides have nothing on what's inside! They both have amazing hearts that were built to serve others. They are some of the most caring, selfless people we've ever met, and we love them for that!

I can't think of a better way to start off a Thursday. I have been SO excited to share this Miami yacht wedding! Essence and Jamal were amazing clients, but more than that, they turned out to be such good friends! Ed and I could hang out with them all the time, and while we were in Miami, that's exactly what we did!

We knew we loved Bethany and Zac the minute we met them! Bethany has style in abundance, and a sense of humor that keeps everyone laughing all day. Her smile lights up the room, and she is the most loyal friend. Her determination is enviable. Zac is tender and quiet where Bethany is outgoing and boisterous, in all the best ways. He is extremely heartfelt and generous, and just recently raised over $200,000 for the Boys and Girls Club. Yet Zac is fun-loving, while always taking charge when needed. Together, they make a mirthful, organized team. In short, they have everything they need, and they compliment each other perfectly!
