The second Ed and I met with Mallory and her sweet mom, we knew we hit the jackpot! We giggled the whole time we were chatting, and that’s always a good sign! Mallory is a stunning girl who runs her own fashion blog. This girl knows style, and we were so excited to capture it on camera! We didn’t meet Parker until the engagement session, but we loved him right away too. These two are so easy going, and so comfortable as a couple! After spending a couple hours with them, Ed and I didn’t want to leave. We’re so glad they will be one of our first 2018 weddings, just so that we can hang out with them again!
We had been looking forward to this wedding for a long time! Ever since we photographed their surprise proposal in Memphis, we were so excited for the moment when these two would officially seal the deal. We knew they both had style, but even we were unprepared for the amount of awesomeness that filled this day. We traveled to a little town in Georgia, where we were thrilled to discover one of the most beautiful wedding venues ever! Tryphena’s Garden is like a little Italian villa, Georgia style, filled with gorgeous plantings, hidden paths, and formal lawns. It is the perfect place for a wedding, and a photographer’s dream!
Today is a very special day on the blog! We always consider ourselves lucky to get to do what we do, but when we get to photograph friends, it’s an extra blessing! Most of Memphis may know Natalie as a top finalist on So You Think You Can Dance or as a cast member of Wicked, but to us, she is “Miss Natalie,” the one person who probably spends almost as much time with our kids as we do! Natalie is the competition director at our dance studio, and she is the one in charge of making our kids (and tons of others!) into the great dancers that they are turning out to be! We couldn’t be more grateful for her, so when we heard she was getting married, we were first in line to “audition” for the role of photographer! All cheesy puns aside, we are thrilled to be able to document this time in her life, and we can’t wait for the wedding!
We want every engagement session (and wedding!) we do to be as unique as possible. To do that, we always tailor our sessions around our couples, including things like their favorite colors, their favorite places to go, and their favorite activities to do together. Basically, the things that make up their LIFE together. In this case, Robyn and Nick currently live in Nashville, so their life is there. Nashville is an easy drive for us, so it was a no-brainer that we would go to them for this session. We have been looking forward to this engagement session ever since we first met with Robyn and Nick, and it was everything we dreamed, and more!
