07 Feb Colorful, Art-Inspired Memphis Acre Wedding
Rachel knew what she wanted for her wedding, but more importantly, she knew what she didn’t want. The thing I love most about her is that she is not afraid to be herself. She knows her limits, and she doesn’t push them. Her style oozes out of her, and she OWNS it! She has the right mix of art appreciation and love of color, but she knows when enough is enough. She found her perfect match in Justin, who gracefully lets her be herself, but also pulls her in and holds her close when she needs more than just herself. Their wedding day was the exquisite culmination of their relationship, and it reflected their personalities, both separately and together.
Rachel didn’t want a big production for her wedding. She wanted to celebrate, she wanted some pretty details that reflected her style, and she wanted to throw tradition out the window! Most of all, she wanted to be married to Justin, and she wanted to do it their way. Flowers and color were very important to her, as was treating each and every guest as the most important person in the room.
Rachel and Justin chose the best venues for the wedding day! They decided to do the ceremony and reception at the Memphis Acre Restaurant. It was just big enough to hold her closest friends and family, and the property is beautiful. Not to mention the food! You don’t have a Memphis Acre wedding if amazing food is not a priority! Every single room was decorated so beautifully, and included items and heirlooms that meant something special to them.

Rachel + Justin
They both got ready at the Stratton House beforehand, and I absolutely loved their relaxed attitudes toward the getting ready process. Rachel would walk through the house, not caring if Justin saw her or not. They shared jokes, snacks, and each other’s company before getting dressed into their official wedding outfits. Both Rachel and Justin kept things light, chill, and stress-free all day!
Rachel and Justin, you guys already know how much we love you both! We’re going to make dinners a regular thing, every time you’re in town. I’m already trying to think up an excuse for another photo session with you guys and Effy and Scout! I know your lives have brought changes lately, but I also know that they’re leading you down the right path. We can’t wait to catch up soon!
In the meantime, enjoy this little sneak peek of the amazingness that was your wedding day! I apologize in advance for the excess of detail photos… everything was so GORGEOUS!!!
