31 Jul Angelique + Marcus | a Memphis Cannon Center Wedding
We always know a wedding at the Cannon Center will be a good one, and Angelique and Marcus’ day did not disappoint! We were excited for this one ever since their sexy engagement shoot, so we were so ready to get our cameras on them again! The wedding day was a perfect reflection of them. It was nearly entirely white, with only a splash of soft yellow here and there. The ceremony was intimate and classy, with soft sheers draping the entire room, while the reception had a modern sophisticated feel with lots of white leather lounge furniture. And the after party! Yes! After the reception, the entire space was flipped yet again for a nightclub party that lasted all night! We would have expected nothing less from Angelique and Marcus.
Remember the motorcycle from Angelique and Marcus’ Beyoncé-inspired engagement session? Who could forget, right? Well, that very same motorcycle was inside the Cannon Center, on the second floor, an awesome addition to the reception decor! We used the muffler for the day’s ring shot. I love how it ties them both together!
Their invitations included a clear, engraved, acrylic piece. It was stunning!
Angelique’s beautiful Vera Wang gown was the perfect way to start the day!
Meanwhile, Marcus was waiting patiently to see his bride…
It was a hot summer day, but these ladies worked it! Such a gorgeous group of girls!
And Angelique, you’re killing me (in a good way)!
The men all looked very dapper, and Marcus made a very handsome groom, all in white.
A seating chart made out of champagne glasses? Yes, please!
LOVE this shot that Ed captured right before Angelique walked down the isle with her dad.
Neither one of them could hold back tears!
After the ceremony, we wandered Main Street for portraits of the bride and groom.
Sunset was STUNNING, right over the Memphis “M” bridge.
The main reception room looked AMAZING. Ashley McCormick did a gorgeous job with all the florals!
The 7-foot cake was taller than I am!
The first dance, right at sunset…
Toasts were beautiful and funny at the same time.
Then…. the after party. The liquid nitrogen ice cream bar was a huge hit!
We love it when a wedding has a cigar bar! Smoke makes for crazy cool photos!
The after party was as better than any night club, and Angelique and Marcus partied the night away.
Angelique and Marcus, thank you so much for the honor of capturing your wedding day! It was everything we knew it would be, and more! I can’t wait to hear all about the honeymoon!
