09 Mar Memphis Woodruff Fontaine Museum Wedding
I knew Maggi and Aaron were our kind of couple when she told me that they were more “silly” than “romantic.” I love fun, laughing photos, and these two are the perfect playful couple! But as it turns out, they can do romantic pretty darn good, too.
Maggi and Aaron decided on an intimate ceremony in the Dominican Republic to tie the knot. Oh, how we would have loved to have been there for that! But when they returned, they wanted a reception at the Woodruff Fontaine Museum that matched the kind of people that they are: fun and relaxed. They wanted to celebrate in their own special style with the people they love most. We were lucky enough to photograph all the festivities, along with some private portraits of the two of them beforehand.
It was easy to see why Maggi loves Aaron. He is always quick to laugh, but quicker to wrap Maggi up in a long, warm hug. He takes care of her emotionally and physically, literally pulling food out of his pockets for her! She told us that she knew Aaron was the man for her when he presented her with two candied bacon sandwiches straight from his pockets. Bacon would definitely win us over too (and candied bacon was even represented in their reception food)! But let’s be honest, he cinched the deal when he bought her navy suede Louboutin shoes for her birthday. She knew he was a keeper and ended up planning the whole wedding around those shoes!
Aaron counts himself lucky to have won Maggi’s heart. Not only is she drop-dead gorgeous, but her kind heart outshines her beautiful features. She loves him tenderly, but always with a mischievious smile. When she accepted him, she became an instant mother to his three beautiful children, and we know that nothing means more than that.
Later in the evening, Aaron was looking through the same-day slideshow we did for them, and when a photo of Maggi popped up, he turned to us and said, “Man, you guys. I married up.” He may think so, but we think they are a perfect match in every way!
Maggi and Aaron, thank you so much for allowing us to tag along for your special day! Thank you, above all, for being yourselves, both in front of the camera and in your own lives. You planned the perfect celebration of your new marriage and the special love that you share. It says so much about the kind of people you are, and we’re so glad we got to know you! Enjoy a few of our favorites from your beautiful day!
