13 Aug Keith + Joe | a Summer Pink Memphis Wedding
As we were chatting with the wedding coordinator this day, she commented that Keith and Joe couldn’t have been more perfect for each other – they were each the yin to the other’s yang. We agreed heartily. Keith and Joe seem like complete opposites on the outside, yet they compliment each other so beautifully, that you just can’t imagine one without the other!
Joe is a boundless bubble of energy! He can light up a room with his smile. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Joe without a huge smile on his face, and I’m sure that’s one of the things that Keith loves so much about him. His boisterous personality makes anyone feel right at home, and he’s so much fun to be around. He is resonant and sanguine, doing nothing without going all in. And he loves Keith that way – all in. You can see it on his face, and watching them together will make your heart melt.
Keith is soft-spoken and quiet, yet she has a loud presence. She is demure, yet confident. She is the calm to Joe’s vivacity. And she is beautiful! Her dimpled smile is infectious! She may be small in stature, but she is big in heart. And on this day, she gave that heart completely over to Joe.
Keith and Joe’s day was full of class and sophistication. When you gather a bunch of lawyers together, you can’t be anything but! Though they now live in Georgia, Keith and Joe decided on a Memphis wedding to be near family. Everything had an understated beauty, and the soft pinks were perfect for a summer wedding!
We started the day off with gorgeous details. I loved the sapphires in Keith’s wedding band!
Keith wore her mother’s earrings, and they were her “something borrowed.”
Keith’s sister helped her into her dress. This girl can tie the most stunningly perfect bow!
Keith’s dad was adamant about not seeing her in her wedding dress before the big day. We did a First Look with her dad, and it was the sweetest thing ever! You can see the love that he has for his little girl.
The ladies were all STUNNING! Every one of them was gorgeous, and they totally rocked bridal party portraits!
The flowers were so pretty, and the bridesmaids’ bouquets were huge! LOVED that!
The guys were all so much fun and they all seemed so natural! They made wearing a tux look easy 🙂
I loved the ceremony decor. A little greenery can go a long way!
Keith’s dad got teary-eyed right before walking her down the isle. Thank goodness for Ed! If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t have this awesome shot.
The groom wanted a hug from the flower girl. So cute!
This is one of my favorite shots from the day. Joe just couldn’t stop looking at his bride, and he was literally bouncing up and down with excitement!
Just look at that happiness!
We went outside after the ceremony for portraits. I don’t know which glow is brighter – the sunset or the post-married happiness on their faces!
The reception at the Pink Palace was already in full swing when we arrived. We knew it was going to be a great party!
The band was amazing, and kept everyone on the dance floor all night!
Epic bouquet toss 🙂
Sometimes, at receptions, the bride and groom go separate ways for a while to make the rounds with their guests. Not Keith and Joe! They were side by side all night! Their obvious, palpable love is my favorite thing about them!
Also, clear beach balls filled with glow sticks for an exit! How awesome is that idea??
Keith and Joe, thank you so much for including us in your day! Everything was so beautiful, and we were honored to be a part of it! Have a GREAT time in Cancun. We can’t wait to hear all about it!
